I know a good time when I see one / And when I'm in the mood I can even be one / I can lead the parade or I can stop it / Sometimes I dance in the boat just to rock it

Midji! Dude!
I'm way excited about my upcoming sojourn to Bemidji for some R&R and paper writing time (3 due next week. Eeek!). I can't wait. We'll prolly eat pizza, and gossip, and slack, and then complain about every five words that I actually write. Ah, the anticipation.
Hit By the Cradle
Today when I went for my walk to the public library, there were two boys skateboarding in front of my apartment building. My guess would be 8 and 12. And they wolf whistled me.
Now I haven't cracked anybody with a door lately, so that makes me both dorky and desperate, but I do have SOME standards. . . And a height requirement.

We've Got A Winner
This weekend, aside from partying, doing the solo gig since the roomies all went home for the holidays, and homework, I managed to read Sofie Metropolis by Tori Carrington (Aka Lori and Tony Karayianni) who has written loads of Harlequin books.
This book was absolutely zany. Sofie is a good-ish Greek girl (imagine Nia Vardalos character from My Big Fat Greek Wedding) who has annoyed her parents by taking a job with her Uncle Spyros's P.I. firm. Throw in a few cases like missing pets, missing "vampire" neighbors, a not so run-of-the-mill cheating spouse, and this totally hot Australian guy that keeps popping up in the strangest places. And as an added bonus, there's recipes in the back. I'm already looking forward to the next Sofie Metropolis book.

Two Weeks
The countdown has commenced as to when all my Death and Dying work is due. Lucky for me, nobody is around Easter weekend and I got half way through chapter 7 this weekend. That's only 8 to go and 6 papers in two weeks.
Totally doable.

The Wrong Side of The Morning
Saturday I saw the wrong side of the morning (Love you Anna!) and today I saw BOTH sides of the morning, which is something I'm starting to see way too much. However, I got a lot of things accomplished this morning, not everything I wanted to, or should have for that matter, but still shit got done.
Read assigned poems for English class today
Cleaned off Desk (and found some bills I forgot to pay)
Started researching Scottish death, funeral, burial, and mourning customs (Tiff can be expecting an e-mail from by Thursday I'm thinking, tomorrow if I don't forget)
Emptied the dishwasher, cleaned dishes off the counter, washed pans, and rinsed out sinks
Straightened up the bathroom (cleaning may commence in there tomorrow morning. It needs it. Badly. )
E-mailed AEO induction plans to the other officers for feedback
Doesn't that look all action packed?

To My Very Own Goth Girl
Was reading about angst in my personality psych book and though of you. (Or it could have been because we'd been on the phone a little while earlier.)

Happy Easter!
I did some Easter Egg coloring today, and let me tell you...they look so damn cute! I bought all the fixens for Deviled Eggs, so of course I've gotta make them, but I'm almost afraid because I love them so much they'll be eaten all at once. I guess I'm just going to have to do it a couple of eggs at a time. LOL.
I Have a Dress!
On friday, Anne had me try on a dress one of the other ladies had picked out. Apparently, she wasn't happy with the fit and chose to make her own dress.
So my dress is this sort of olive green/brown color with dark navy/black flowers on it. It'll look cute with my grey apron and white with black fleu-de-lis bonnet.
Now all I need is some pantaloons, a chemise, and to fix my peticoat so the buttons work. Yippie!

The Destress System
Anna called me to ask a question on her way to pick up summer job applications and we chatted, and I complained about the damned government taking land and building crap "for the betterment of the community" in people's backyards, and we shared how insane crazy are schedules are for the rest of the semester. I feel much better now. No more mushy brains.
I Hate Bureaucratic Systems. Down With the Red Tape.
My bubble got busted last night when I realized that I needed signatures on my student teaching application that I don't already have. It's due today so of course right now I'm going spastic instead of calming down and dealing with it. Gah! I'm such a freak!

I'm Not Dead
I promise I'm alive and...well, kicking I suppose. I've got a list of things to blog about, but I'm so tired right now and I've got so much stuff to get completed tomorrow. So I'm aiming for a catch up session tomorrow night.
Ciao!

I Do What Where?
The Event Director shall:
Organize events agreed upon by the board of officers. This shall include, but not be limited to, non-member advertising, arrangement with the university administration for the use of rooms and supplies, and organization of refreshments.
So this means that if we don't do events I don't have to do anything. LOL. I'll find out more on Tuesday...AFTER my Social Psych test.

Ten-Hut
Today at what I will now call Interpreter Bootcamp (mainly because I get to miss out on it because of class and I have to make it up all by my lonesome later) I finally got my station assignment....I'm in the garden.
*Holds hand up*
I know what you're thinking. Lisa? Garden? Have you seen her house plants? Yes. That's what I'm thinking too. Although, today we planted in the hotbeds and I did okay. I even learned what beet seeds look like. 'Sides. It's not like I hate plants. I've just never been really good with them. And right now I'm more freaked that I have no idea what the heck really goes on with plants. I mean, maybe I'm really stupid and there's some sort of special mojo that everyone does behind the scenes that I don't know about.
But I will perservere. After all, I get to spend my time this summer outside in a funny looking dress. How 'bout you?

Strange Sightings
I saw a guy on the way to class today with a handle bar mustache that had those really colorful pony beads beaded onto the ends.
I also saw Greg. He's got his hair cut short and was clean shaven. I guess that means that the shaggy, moppy, California boy look is out. I hope nobody else pays attention to him. I like that look. Men look nummy that way.

Procrastination. That's What Happens. (Sung To the Tune of the Seseme Street Cooperation Song)
The plan was to work on my ELL FLClass Reflection paper. Instead, I've caught up on my email.
I hope I have better self control tonight or else I won't be able to eat, dress, or hang out in semi-polite company.

Welcome to my Semi-Adult Life: Sleeping and Studying
Once again, when I find the time to blog, it's five seconds before I have to run out the door.
Alas, I was planning on getting up this morning and blogging, doing homework, and getting my laundry started. But Mom and Dad called last night and after chatting with my mom for forty minutes I started yakking at my Dad. We got off the phone at about midnight, then I finished the chapter I had been reading prior and went to bed.
This morning I slept in until 8, and then went to work reading Neither Wolf Nor Dog since my Letter assignment on that is due next week. I have SO much homework and other stuff to get done I'm not going to bore you with the details.
Gah. No wonder everyone says kids got it easy. You don't stress out as much then.

Me Tired
But I have lots do say, do, and catch everyone up on.
I know it seems like I've been slacking lately. I haven't. I've just been REALLY busy. I guess that's what happens when spring comes and you can no longer convince yourself that it's too dark out to exercise. LOL.
Promise.
Catchups tomorrow.

This Month's Squawk-o-scope
CAPRICORN (December 22-January 20)
The Odds are against you this month, "Odds" being less a gambling term than a description of yourcoworkers.
Eeek! Well that doesn't sound good.
