This Thing Called TV

I know this sounds stupid, but I miss my Tv. I used to watch it too much...but now I seem to spend no time at all in front of it, unless I'm over at S&SG's. Or unless Rachael is on. What can I say, I heart Rachael Ray.

Since television is making it's annual fall come back, I find that the only thing on that I still watch is Bones. And I've missed all of the new Bones episodes because it has moved once again from Tuesday nights back to Wednesdays. I think I have finally corralled it, and hopefully, my poor VCR will record it for me tonight.

Sunday night I had a chance to watch the boob tube and coincidentally caught the Sunday recaps of the CW Network's fall line up. While the CW does cater mostly to the high school set, it is the home to my beloved, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, and Reba.

The new lineup includes an old fave, 90210 (I still haven't caught any episodes) and a show called Privileged, which stars JoAnna Garcia from Reba as a Yale grad back in her old stomping ground tutoring a pair of snobby sisters. While not as hyped as every one's favorite zip code, I think this show has the most potential of entering my "must see" list.

Stay tuned.
(LOL. I crack myself up.)

Amy's Back!

I have expressed in no uncertain terms my disgust with the CW for dismissing my beloved Veronica Mars, but there is hope for the new season because the original Gilmore Girl, Amy Sherman-Palladino and her wicked husband/partner-in-crime have a new show debuting on Fox called the Return of Jezebelle James. Me thinks I must tune in...

The Return of Jezebel James Fox has never had a successful female-oriented sitcom. If this show about two sisters — one of whom agrees to carry the other's baby — can make it to January, when it will precede the American Idol results show, it has a chance, especially with Amy Sherman-Palladino producing and directing.

All Of The Good Times That Will Now No Longer Be...

I just recently got hooked on Veronica Mars. The drama, the mystery, the witty repartee between dad and daughter, the hot sexiness that is Logan Echolls...Only to learn that as of this week, Veronica will be no more.

The power that be at the CW have not only screwed with my beloved Gilmore Girls so that it's creators left and we had a sub-par season before the finale, but now they are axing my new love before I can truly see where this will lead. What is a girl to do?

If I find out that Las Vegas and Bones are going to be cancelled I'm going to be having some serious problems
