I know a good time when I see one / And when I'm in the mood I can even be one / I can lead the parade or I can stop it / Sometimes I dance in the boat just to rock it

Fun Keith News:
Urban Signs Movie Deal
Keith Urban will try his hand at acting after signing a developmental deal with Melee Entertainment, whose films are distributed by Paramount Pictures. His publicist told CMT Insider that Urban has not yet seen a script and has no idea what type of movie might be offered. Noting that the deal is for one film only and won't necessarily be released to coincide with one of upcoming Urban's albums, the publicist emphasized there is "no timetable on the movie and frankly no timetable on an album." Melee Entertainment founder and president Bryan Turner formed Priority Records in 1985 and spent 16 years as its chairman. In 1988, Turner signed the rap group, N.W.A., featuring Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E.
I've known about this for about a day and a half now, and have been really quiet. A lot of the gals on the boards have said they need this to "marinate," others are unhappy, and the rest are completely ecstatic. I'm sort of...numb.
I really don't have a problem with this, and I'm very excited. I don't have strong feelings like everyone else is projecting. I think it might be because of how notoriously long movies take, or maybe because it's not guaranteed to happen. It could also be because I'm tired as hell, stressed, impatient for my September concert, and fustrated because the Live DVD hasn't been released yet.
The bottom line is that Keith is my guy and I give him absolute support in everything he does. I hope the rest of his fans understand how long this mainstream recognition has been coming for him and how he needs our support. Besides, who wouldn't wanna look at that gorgeous mug up there on the big screen.

Possessed By The Devil
After working just fine yesterday, the CD burner has become a servant of Satan! It has popped me an error message for no apparent reason three times today. Each time I have to go fetch Shauna to restart the damn thing and I'm sick of trying to figure out which jobs have gone MIA. Gah. I'm going to be in the market for an exorcist if the Microtech guys can't figure it out.
99.9% Sure
I just might possibly get to see Brian McComas because Anna rocks!
. . .Now if only I could get my weekend plans for the next to weeks straightened out. . .

Sweet Victory
I tasted victory for a moment. I finally broke into the 5oo's on the ranking in Keith's I-squad yesterday, but alas, I'm back at 603 today.

Do You Want To Read A Blog Entry About A Cute Little Elf? (Movie Review)
Well, you have come to the wrong place. This is my depressing review of Lemony Snicket's Series of unfortunate Events staring funny man Jim Carey.
This movie is wonderful. Dark, gothic, and engaging with a vintage feel. I don't think I have enough vocabulary to properly describe it before I start sound like Katie Holmes saying how "amazing" Tom Cruise is. (Gack!)
The cinematography is wonderful, whether it's computer inserted or not. The young actors portraying the main characters are magnificent fits. Jim Carey is probably THE only actor today I could imagine playing the dastardly chameleon Count Olaf. My only snarky comment is that I can think of way sexier and mysterious voices to take on the narrator role of the mysterious Lemony Snicket than Jude Law.
I'm holding hopes for another movie with this spectacular cast. Perhaps based on the next few books?

It's That Time Again
The spike-heeled cloggers are making their encore performance. It is not going well for me.
Past Blast
Last night as I was lounging around before bed, the phone rang. . .and no one is going to be able to guess who called me.
Tara!
Man. I haven't talked to her since, like graduation or something. It's been so long. I'm supposed to call her again tonight and make some plans to get together. She says that includes you too Tosh!

"...Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka, The Famous Chocolateer..."(Movie Review)
This weekend I took in the Box office leader, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory not once, but Twice. I saw it Saturday with Anna and again on Sunday with Tosh, Smantha, and Jace.
I should probably start this review stating that I hated the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I'm not certain why, I just know when I was a kid, I couldn't stand it. Now, as an adult, I loved this Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration on one of Roal Dahl's fun books.
This was signature Burton. Fun, stunning visuals (A giant pink seahorse boat takes a white-water rafting expedition on the chocolate river), slightly dark humor ("Everything in this room is edible, including me. But that children is called cannibalism and is frowned upon in many cultures."), catchy Oompa-Loompa song/dance numbers (one which mimics 80's hairband videos) and is overall a fabulous ride.
Johnny Depp was superb, but then again, the man has never had a bad performance. His Willy Wonka carries the movie along with his paranoia, isolation, social incompetence, and outright disdain for children.
One woman in the theater brought up the Michael Jackson idea, but personally, I find MJ creepy and Wonka a riot. The backplotting into Wonka's character should really ditch all MJ thoughts. Without all the prior hoopla, even she'd probably never have made the connection.
I'd definitely suggest you go to see it. Toshia enjoyed the first one more. But after all, movies are simply brain candy, and this one was a sweet treat.

It's A Small World. . .
Friday night had me, Erin, Anna, and Tosh at the County Fair to see The Killer Hayseeds. It was hot, and our "getting down" really didn't last that long.
We did however take in the cute petting zoo (complete with adorable goats, peeing miniature deer, and kangaroos) and the fair food. I know I said I'd had my limit at Spud Fest, but I just couldn't pass up a corn dog, a caramel apple, a vanilla milkshake, and snitching one of Erin's cheese curds.
While catching some air, Anna ran into a gal she used to work with, who happens to work with Toshia's dad and is friends with her old neighbors, used to work with Erin's mom, and who's husband's hometown is about 30 miles or so from my parents' new one.
Small world indeed.

Strange Dream
Last night I had the weirdest dream.
Apparently my dad had died. I was somewhere in northern Minnesota. I was at a "soda fountain" when my cellphone rang and I was told. I couldn't get to Nodak though. My Aunt came along insisting I couldn't fit it into my schedule because I had to attend a cream cheese conference. So I decide to stop by the conference (which was held in a building that had a stunning resemblance to my church right down to the alter cloths in the "conference room") quick before I go to nodak. Just as I was being greeted from one of the kids I student taught back in November, I woke up.
I may not normally remember my dreams, but when I do, they are bizarre-ro!.

Out of The Ashes
I was really disappointed because our free "concert" didn't work out because of logistical problems. (It's still going on, we're just not going to be there.) But I think I might have found a solution to the dilemma of where we should go tonight. The Killer Hayseeds are playing the county fair. This way, we're going out, it's cheap, short drive all the way around, and it's okay if we need to cut out early.
So. Waddya think girls?

Crabby Party Animals
Ainjil's birthday bash last night was overshadowed by the fact that there were five crabby children under the age of ten, two cranky teenagers, two frazzled parents, and two annoyed uh, Me and Tosh, attending. Aside from the heat and everyone's case of the cranks, it was great.
Ainjil really enjoyed her present from me (Breyer's of the horses from Spirit). She wanted to play with them the moment she ripped the shiny purple wrapping paper off. I felt really bad though be cause she seemed way into my present and then flew through everyone else's. Maybe for Christmas I'll get her something stupid so I don't feel so bad.
And Mmm that chocolate cake was amazing.

A K-Tel First
Today marks the first time my fingers (along with other various body parts) haven't been frozen by ten in the morning. It feels so nice. I may even be slightly over warm. Ahh, to be able to say that for once!

". . .Good luck's gonna shine. . ."
K102 just played Keith's new single Better Life. I'm in a good mood.
"Here's to You, Mr. Too Much Cologne Wearer!"
Gad. This guy is in the office today for some sort of meeting and the entire office is saturated in his stench.
Come on. Leave already.
I've always thought those beer commercials were a riot, but this is a little much.

My Very Own Dorothy Shoes
On Sunday while I was trying on all the weirdest and ugliest shoes I could find at Wal-mart, I happened upon an adorable pair of strappy red kitten heels. And after much deliberation, they now grace my feet. I like my new shoes. They're pretty. I'm confident they won't take me back to Kansas, but if I don't pay attention, they'll have no problem sending me flying.
And Now, A Word From Our Sponsor.
Got this awesome review link from someone off the Keith Boards. It's a excellent write up and goes to show how much adoration Keith is getting from former non-believers.

Idiocy
The cut I have on my left pointer finger was annoying me today when I realized I hadn't told ya'll another story about my idiocy.
Right.
So, I was at the restaurant about to cut up Canadian Bacon for the prep table. I was trying to use a knife, but most of the ones on the knife rack were pretty dull, so my dad points out one that he'd just sharpened last week. I pull it down and begin quartering the slices yaking my mouth off. All of a sudden my dad hears me start swearing and turns to see me grab a papertowel.
"How'd you manage to cut yourself?" He asks (and you are all wondering. Right?)
holding the plastic that wrapped the Canadian Bacon with the same had as the knife, and when I reached into the container with my other hand, I slammed my fingers INTO the knife blade.
How dumb can I get?
Right.

Prayers
I'd just like to take a moment to encourage thoughts and prayers and a solemn moment to be extended to the victims and families of those involved in the London bombings, all of Britain, and World leaders who have been given the responsibility to investigate, combat, and solve problems of terror, hunger, and poverty in our global community.

Keith Urban's people have announced that he's going to be playing Mpls on September 24th. All the radio stations are advertising, and some are even giving away tickets. So everyone has to go out a win me some, alright.

Fair Food
I saved my pennies so I could gorge on fair refreshments which included: A fresh squeezed lemonade, a beef gyro, a couple sniched sections of Becky's funnel cake, cheese curds, bottled water, a caramel apple with peanuts, and three beers from the beer garden.
I've also got a couple extra miles to jog all week to work it off, but it was so worth it to watch everyone's eyes bulge when they heard what, how, and when I ate what.

Aye, Potatoes!
Ah. Spud Fest. That time of year for fair food, fireworks, friends, and all things Potato.
I, of course, had a blast. Becky came down and we met up with Anna and Tiffy and took the town by storm. LOL. Or at least me and Becky had a blast while waiting for Anna and Tiff, including a turn at the Water War booth where I kept shooting the water balloons into the ditch behind my intended target.
We also did the fireworks in our prime viewing spot in the back of Anna's Truck. The Show was fabulous. Well, it was great enjoyment and has to rate as a Fab show because Linton didn't put fireworks into their budget this year (that is so stupid and unpatriotic (and communist! lol.)) So the fourth is going to be a homemade deal.
We also ran it to a ton of people and migrated to McPete's for some more fun and drinks. The guys were in full form. They were running at the LCD speed tracker trying to be picked up on it. Ricky was the fastest at 16mph and poor Nippy kept running and it wouldn't pick up.
The night ended early because Becky had to work the next morning or something, but the party continued.

Derek
Well. He has officially made the rounds. I've had this weird lump on my left middle finger for almost a week now and couldn't figure out what it was. Today it dawned on me. I have a blood blister. I remember shutting my hand in the door last week, but this thing showed up sometime Monday. I also have two new bruises on my left knee and a mysterious cut on my left forearm. Derek is out to get me now.
Toshia, come back home and claim your boy toy. He's driving me nuts! LOL.

This Radio Thing
Today I put in an e-request during the "Lunch with the Legends" segment on K102 today and it got played! I requested Crystal Gayle's Half the Way, and after he played it, the DJ said thanks Lisa for the suggestion, and for all those that are cubicle bound, you can still request on line, blah, blah, blah. But I was smiling because I got my song played on the radio.
*sticks tongue out*
Can you hear me taunting everyone else? I promise to do it quietly.
Not.

When To Conveniently Loose A Letter
Today the office received a letter from an admirer of an actress in one of our DVD's. Apparently, he thinks she is "one fine woman" and wanted to ask "ya'll" how he could get in contact with her to express his admiration. It was all quite funny. Absolutely worth a giggle or two.
Oh. Did I mention it was a porn video?

Lazy, Crazy, Hazy. . .
I spent this weekend in an all out Gilmore Girls fest. Seasons 2 & 3 finally showed up at the library, so I hung out most of the weekend in front of my comp giving my CD drive a work out. So, if anybody wants to get me a slamming Christmas present, this is absolutely a viable option.
*wink, wink*

Rhinestone Cowboy
Friday Night I went out with Anna, Tiffy, and Chandi to the Buffalo Rodeo and had an absolute blast. It was the girls' first rodeo, so we had fun watching the events and performers. I had an abfab rainbow snowcone, which only could have been better with alcohol added to it. I do regret skipping on the cheese curds, but that just means I have to get them next weekend at Spud fest.
The Rodeo Dance band was The Law. They were pretty darn good, even if I was unfamiliar with them. They sang a lot of fun older country and performed one of their own songs at the end of each set. They also had a female voice, Carmen I think her name was, who joined in on songs. She had one ass-kicker attitude and did Gretchen's songs proud.
Now if only we had gotten Tiffy up on the mechanical bull. . .

The Morning After
What is it about having to get up in the morning that you notice ALL of your minor aches and pains? For instance, I woke up with a slight headache, prolly from smacking my head on the side of the fridge last night, achy calves from playing Frisbee I'm sure, and Sunday's sunburned shoulders still stinging slightly.
The party was wonderful though. We should really get together and do that more often guys, but let's split the bill a little. LOL. I'm sure if I would have planned better, it wouldn't have been so hectic.
So now, after sitting in traffic forever this morning because some jackass rolled his car and people gawked and cops stopped traffic, I'm finally at work and looking forward to my leftovers for lunch.

Surprise Party On, Party People
Everything is a go for Tosh's Surprise Party. Even though the party really isn't a surprise because Tosh knows about it (or else she wouldn't go), we do have some surprise guests coming. Besides, it was a surprise until I told her about it. LOL.
Anyhow, work is starting to drag on since I've been thinking about that gianormous list of things I need to accomplish before 7, so I'm going to take my lunch a bit early I think.

Give Up.
I'm going to give up. Shauna is in New York for a meeting with the MusicCalc designer people, and so I'm slowly working away on my various projects at this end. But everything just has to annoy the crap out of me. Like the Fox site not being up today. Or, Patrick not showing up for work today, so I have to burn CDRs, but I don't know how far he got or how his 'system' works and the damn boy isn't home to answer his phone. Hopefully he'll be here tomorrow so we don't get too far behind on burning.
Good news! Party tonight, it's almost lunch, and I've almost got an entire box of that new age-y stuff loaded onto the Apple.

Poll Question:
Do these lyrics make any sort of sense?
I ain't as good as I once was / But I'm as good once as I ever was
They are part of the chorus to Toby Keith's As Good As I Once Was. Tosh claims they make no sense, and she hates the song. I think the other lyrics are funny and like them and don't really care about these.

Rain and Pain (and Other Bad Rhymes)
Saturday it was constantly nice, then rainy all day. Yesterday, I'm outside for an hour, maybe two, and now I'm looking like a lobster and feeling like a French fry.
New Roomies
Don't worry. You read that right. Since Tosh is moving in with Bri, I decided to try and get into a dorm with more upperclassmen. I managed to score a room in Statewood Apts. So, I might not move in with Bri, Ben, Jade, and Tosh at all, because I've not got an apartment right ON campus.
. . .Now, about finding furniture. . .

"Can We Go Yet?"
This has GOT to be the second most annoying phrase after, "are we there yet?" Saturday was Mel's MN Grad party, and Vanessa kept asking me if we could leave every fifteen minutes. She was a little bored, yet refused to watch movies or dig through closets, or, god forbid, mingle with the guests she hasn't seen in a long time.
We left a eight, and I laughed all the way home because she had to wait SOOO long.

One Hot Date
This is, in reality, my movie review for Lords of Dogtown which I saw Sunday afternoon by myself. I had one hot date, whether that was me or Heath is up for debate. LOL.
Lords of Dogtown stars Emile Hirsch, Johnny Knoxville, and of course, that brilliant Aussie Heath Ledger. It's a story that takes place during the drought ridden mid-seventies when skateboarders took to people's backyard pools to perfect their fancy tricks and stuff.
Can you tell I was never any good at skateboarding? It's never really been my scene, but this movie brilliantly portrays themes of family and friendship while having a rocking soundtrack, slick skateboarding, and plenty of eye-candy for both sexes all while portraying a distinct snippet of time in America.
My favorite part of the movie is sort of a "sad" scene. Skip has lost his surf shop and he's crafting boards for someone else. He's wearing a do-rag and a blue t-shirt, sucking on a cigarette, and singing "Maggie." It is supposed to portray how far he has fallen, but I see it as a moment of lightheartedness, of bliss, before the world crushes in to stamp out pleasure again. I truly believe it's the little moments that make life worth living.
I truly believe it's the little moments that make life worth living.

...And Really Bad Eggs!
My pirate name is:
Mad Bess Vane
Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You tend to blend into the background occaisionally, but that's okay, because it's much easier to sneak up on people and disembowel them that way. Arr!

It's all the Rain's Fault!
Our CD burner is sending orders to the blackhole Anna faxed her lunch orders to earlier this week. Shauna insists it's the rain. The rain always causes the computers to act up.
In other news, my chair has some how contracted the most annoying squeak. So now I can't lean back on my right elbow because the whole building will know what and when I'm doing it.

But There's No Guy In A Dorky Uniform To Make Fun Of
K102 lets you listen to their radio station through their website, but for some reason, they don't play the commercials, this really kooky elevator music is played instead. It really makes my channel flipper fingers itch.
Rhubarb Football
This morning I took a quick jaunt up to SCSU to purchase my parking permit (which took a heavy chunk out of my paycheck) and I was listening to Matt and Amy on the morning show. They mentioned something about a town in Minnesota that had like Rhubarb days or something and one of the activities citizens participated in was rhubarb football.
I of course had to call the radio station to tell my rhubarb story. At my parents' house, there is rhubarb that grows about as big as a baseball bat. This was met by stunned silence and then, "No Way!" with a bunch of Amy's giggles. When I said they lived in North Dakota, Matt said, "They always say everything is bigger in Texas, but I guess that's just not so when it comes to Rhubarb."
We hung up without me requesting any thing, but the next song they played was Keith's Making Memories of Us, which has been in the #1 spot for four weeks now. I tell ya. It's fate.

Poor Shauna
Yesterday was a typical "Monday" and today's short day hasn't helped clear her desk load either. I'm thinking she should cut out early this weekend for a breather.
Speaking of, I'm currently adding sound effects to the song catalog in the royalties software. It's killing me entering things like "Comical Male Belly Laugh," "Chimpanzee Panting Vocal," and "Medium Fart."

And They Say Young People Are Disrespectful!
Saturday afternoon it was pouring rain. The saying "raining cats and dogs" was probably used excessively. And I was a good girl. I took my grandma grocery shopping.
When I went to leave, it was tossing buckets of water down, and I was inching out of my parking spot between the two trucks towering over my car, when BAM! I lurched into another vehicle.
I get out and check the damage. Nothing. No ding, so scratch, not even a paint chip. I turn to the driver of the minty green mini-van/suv, a man 'bout ten years my dad's senior, and he rolls his window down about four inches and asks for my insurance information. I give it to him, along with my driver's license which he rudely asks for. Then he hands me them back with a slip of paper containing his info and says, "if it's under $500 do you just want to go through insurance." By now, I'm soaked like a rat and staring gape mouth stuttering "there isn't any damage!"
What kind of pathetic asshole doesn't even get out of his car to assess the damage?

Ahh, Lunch
I'm still hungry. And my Capitan Crunch cereal really doesn't look all that appetizing anymore. Darn.
Those Crazy Brits
There has been some hub-bub because a cell phone ring tone is like the number one selling single in the UK or something. Anyhow, it is THE most annoying thing to listen too, but makes you laugh no matter what.

Wild Weekend
You never know what will happen with Becky around, which is how I ended up with seven people piled into my car and how come I attended a softball game to watch a group of guys I met the night before. One of which was my "hottie" of the night. Although, he doesn't look so hot once he's wearing a blue and red softball uniform. Oh, and he was married. That sorta kills the hotness factor right there, doesn't it.

Graduation
As should be apparent by now, this past weekend I went to my sister's graduation.
*snarky smile*
And it was fun!
My sister graduated third in her class, so she had to speak. She had mentioned earlier that I was in her speech. She did not however tell me how, exactly, I was portrayed. When she said, "Thanks to Lisa for teaching me not to stand up in a canoe." I lost it. I was howling with laughter. My dad was elbowing me and stage whispering "shut up you're really loud." Which only set me off more.
Later that day, at the grad party, all these people kept coming up to me and asking about the canoe. I just kinda shrugged and said it was a long story...it's really not. When I was like 12 we went to Silver Lake, and I somehow managed to tip the canoe over in like six inches of water. It's not exactly a shining moment of my dexterity, but it served as a humorous moment in Mel's speech along with TV not rotting Eliza's brain, and Vanessa being a wacky little weirdo.

check in
I'm going to cheat tomarrow and write a nice deal about Mel's graduation at work. Tonight I'm just checking out my new net accout. I've got ten hours a month, so we'll see how this works.

Congrats Keith! (part 2)
I almost forgot! Making Memories of Us finally reached number 1! So Keith now has SIX number ones and TWO of them are off of Be Here! I definitely think he's have a good week this week.
A Bit of Blogging on Break
I'm taking a quick "Lunch" break right now. Hee Hee. More like I'm taking twenty minutes to goof off because checking publishing is a giant black hole and I've been doing it most of today. Ek. Now I think I'm going to give my list of tracks to burn to CD a whirl. LOL.
Congrats Keith!
At last night's ACM's Keith took home (or rather he won and they're being shipped to his home since he's currently on tour in the UK) Top Male Vocalist and Album of the Year for Be Here.
I was quite saddened by the fact that I missed his telecast performance of Days Go By from Northern Ireland. I also missed his acceptance speech for album, but I got to see the absolute shock for Male Vocal and his genuine giddiness when Kenny won Entertainer (which Keith was also nominated for). And Tosh got to see Dierks perform, so she was pretty happy too.

DO NOT begin a song title with the words Rain or Time. There are FAR TOO many already.

Sneaking
I'm sneaking a few minutes here at my fabulous summer job to say "Hi!" My eyeballs are about to cross themselves because I've been working in Excel all day. I suppose I should get back to researching my catalogue, right now I'm working through a couple albums from the Flamin' Groovies. Half an hour till quitting time, so I should prolly get back to looking.
Ciao!

Lot of Leaving Left to Do
and a lot of waiting too. I'm just sitting here chillin' to Dierks's new album. Everything except for the phone, my computer, and today's newspaper has been moved out, and now I'm just waiting to check out of this place.
I still have to run over to Copies Plus and pick up my final project, but Me and Tosh have already said adios to Anthony and there's talk of hitting the liquor store on the way home, or rather after we get home and unload.
I guess this is it until I get myself online again. When that'll be is still a mystery I guess.

*drool*
The only thing noteworthy about Shania Twain's new video for I ain't no Quitter is the hot dancer guy in the black hat. MMMmmm baby. Break me off a piece of that.
The Problem with the Weather
It is wet.
And cold.
And I went to Target and spent more money than I should have. Then I stepped in a puddle and got cold water on my butt, which I had to sit on the entire drive back. Only to step in another puddle on the way to lunch.
Yes. Again with the wet butt.

Thoughts Before Bed
Black isn't sliming for everyone. If you weighted 400 lbs, slimming off a mere pound really doesn't do much. The only thing slimming, would be a invisibility cloak.
Finished!
I have completed all of my finals for the spring 2005 semester. Now it's time to party. Except that Tosh has just started taking her finals, so I guess it's going to have to be a party of one (or three if Billy and Shania join.)

Quandary
Please tell me how I got a hit on my blog for a search on "spiderman rap dancing." Please, oh, please. There HAS to be an answer to THAT one.

Wake Up Call For Romance Haters
I know every once in a while I get in to an annoying argument with friends about how my romance novels are a bunch of fluff. I have now found the proof that I'm not just some weird, pie-eyed, cotton brain. Check out this NY Time op ed piece. It eloquently says everything I always try to say. I mean it should. It was written by an English professor.
Better Late Than Never
I think I'm still getting over the shock, but Congrats to Renee and Kenny for their suprise nuptials. I know Keith and Kenny are good buddies, so here's some well wishing from this Urbanite. Kenny's been country's hottest bachelor for so long it's kinda weird. I guess Keith is just going to have to take up that title.

My Heart Thumps a Little Harder Too.
I was reading the threads on the .net webboard and ran into this cute little anecdote on a thread by IlookgoodinMyshirt called Keith almost Kills Aussie Fan!:
On an Australian Reality TV show last night, 10th May, the show was about paramedics going about their nightly emergency routine.
Keith nearly killed a fan in Melbourne!!!!
The show showed the ambulance racing to a concert where a girl in her early 20's needed emergency care and then be rushed to hospital. She was wheeled out on the gurney past the 'KEITH URBAN TONIGHT' signs.
The girl's father reckoned that the base was so load that it vibrated her heart into arrest. The paramedic said that was probably baloney. What really happened was that she got so excited that she gave herself an enormous hit of adrenalin and had a heart palpitations big-time.
Yes Keith gets the girls SO excited that their hearts REALLY do break.
I saw it on TV and its true!
********
That is just wrong and funny on WAY to many levels. I really do love my Keith though.

Cracking the Dawn
I got up at the crack of dawn this morning to finish up my Final Project for my Ethnic Studies class, and now that I've got it semi finished, I realize I don't have the final until 6:30 tonight, and my other final is at like 1, so I would have had plenty of time to finish it if I would have slept in like Tosh is currently doing.

See What Happens?
Yesterday, I finished my China Final and came back to an e-mail from the Amazing Lauren about how I won this month's street team contest, and I didn't even blog about it. Nope. I started on a bit of homework, then I settled down to read Dream of Me by Lisa Cach.
And now it's Tuesday and instead of finishing up my final project, I'm sitting half naked blogging about yesterday while waiting for Becky to show up to run errands.
Now I'm going to find a shirt and curl up with Eloisa James's Much Ado About You.
You didn't really thing I was going to wander about town half naked did you?

But I Don't Wanna
I'm studying for my China final tomorrow, but I really would rather be doing almost anything else.
*Deep Breath*
Back to my notecards and the Great Leap Forward. Oh, and for those interested, I got a 94 on my dreaded, last minute China term paper. I reviewed Wang Ping's Aching for Beauty: Footbinding in China. Good times.

That's Funny.
The spell checker doesn't recognize meatball as a word. It keeps asking me if I want to replace it with mothball. MMMmmm mothballs. That's funny.
Just in time for dinner
I fell asleep studying for my China final. And woke up when Erin and Tosh started Im-ing each other because I somehow got included in the conversation. Don't ask me how. The details are pretty fuzzy.
Anyhow, right now Tosh is scrubbing her teeth so we can run to the grocery store for some food. I think I want brats. Doesn't that sound good? I'm not sure yet. Tacos sound pretty nummalicious too. Or meatballs. MMMmmm meatballs.
It's official, I'm hungry now.

A man with almost enough flaws
Snitched from an article located here.
What makes Anderson's redneck ethos so surprising is that he has such a strong and take-charge academic background. He was first in his class at Oklahoma State University, where, in 1990, he earned an engineering degree, compiling in the process a 3.9 grade point average. One of his brothers is a rocket scientist.
"You can be a genius," Anderson retorts, "and still like to have sex and party."
Now if only he were younger, less famous, drove a wicked motorcycle, and lived here. . .is that too much to ask?

So, Uh, Late Nite?
Friday, me and the fantabulous twosome (that would be Anna and Tosh) went to Pov's to see the toothsome and talented Keith Anderson. Yes. That's Keith Anderson, not Urban, but the two are no where near each other in the chambers of my devoted heart.
He played and showed himself to be an enchanting entertainer, a crowd pleaser, and an all around fun guy. At the end of his set, he came out to sign our CD's. When it came time for mine, his manager/assistant/really tall handler guy was talking to him, so he sort of signed my CD and moved on to Anna's. The next thing I know, he looks up at me with those gorgeous blue eyes and says, "Hey thanks." How sweet is that?
The bar was packed with people and there wasn't any spare seating, so we ditched it for some dinner at Denny's, who's honey mustard really sucks and looks like monkey snot.
By ten thirty, we were on the road home, so we stopped at Coburns and picked up Wimbledon staring Kirsten Dunst (ick) and Paul Bettany (Those blue eyes are so scrummy!) and some wine coolers. I was home by 1 and tired as hell. I think it may have had something to do with moving mostly out earlier in the day.

Issues
First I fell off the bed. Then I stepped in a bowl. Oh, the indignities life will throw at me yet today. When it starts like this (well ACTUALLY it started with Toshia squealing on the phone with Becky) you know it's going to be a good one.
Ah, Back in Business
I guess I inadvertantly took a leave of absence. It wasn't really anything I sat about thinking to do, I just go so busy and would think of blogworthy things, but other stuff would get in the way and that would be the end. I'm back now.
Well, for atleast a week.

All I have left is two final exams, a final project and presentation to complete, and a paper to finish, along with moving out. I'm almost done!

Ah, Freedom
Well, actually it's just a break from the craziness. My class ended early, so I'm going to kick back and put the book chase I was planning on later tonight off until tomorrow morning. Freedom's almost mine.

Toshia's Fault
Tosh keeps emailing me because her work is stupid and doesn't have messengers.
Anyhow, I'm trying to get her to read See Jane Score because Luc is such a hottie in that book. And I made the comment about how I need to track down Sabrina the Teenaged Witch and get her boy dough recipe. Did anyone see that episode where she bakes herself a date that looked stunningly like Brian Austin Green? There was also this spell the Aunts called Randy Travis, where you said the person's name three times really fast and they would appear.
That's beside the point though. My point was that if I could have any book character come to life, Luc would totally be on that list, even more so if he was played by Brad Pitt.

Where's Pumba When You Need Him?
I left empty handed for our floor luau, and I came back with a soda, a beach towel, two, count them, two paper umbrellas, sugared up with a whole new attitude. (and a Killer headache.)
