My Girl S&SG is published on the web!!!!
While she's not back to blogging, she does have some wicked awesome articles up about How To Get Rid of Things (Goth Kids and Zombies), and about green cleaning (Check out Honey and White Vinegar).
So while you're there, get click happy. Not only does this put money in her pocket, but it means I get to actually socialize with people of my own age group.
'Tis the season...Show the Love.
I know a good time when I see one / And when I'm in the mood I can even be one / I can lead the parade or I can stop it / Sometimes I dance in the boat just to rock it

Just How Great Are Your Geography Skills?
I don't know how true this is to being a pilot considering they have things like maps, instruments, a set course, and air traffic controllers directing them, but it is quite fun and addicting. Perhaps even more so if you actuall think you know a thing or two about Geography. Give it a shot. I dare ya.

Damned TV
I miss my Bones. Apparently, I get super crappy reception of Fox and so even though my poor VCR got a workout, I couldn't actually view it. I guess I'm just lucky that the writer's strike was absolved in such a way that they're still posting full episodes on the 'net. Hopefully one of those converter box deals will solve this piddly problem.
Not that you care.

Not Ironic, But Damn Unlucky
I would say that it is quite ironic (dontcha think) that the weekend after I put a down payment on a new-ish car (sight unseen by me but Dad approved. I hear it's purple) and brought it home, it was hailed on. I believe, "attacked by a maniac with a ball peen hammer" was the exact descriptive phrase used. But as everyone has made perfectly clear to Alanis, it is in fact not ironic, but quite a sucky coincidence. Here's hoping the insurance money will help me pay off the rest of my tab.

SSG and Me Loose in "the City"
While me and Becks had out big day out Friday on my day out, Monday afternoon S&SG and me went to see the Sex and the City Movie. While I wouldn't categorize her as a rabid fan, S&SG was super psyched to see it and I, well. I've seen a couple episodes of it on the WB.
I have to say, I found the escapades of Carrie and her girliefriends quite entertaining. Even for a neophyte like myself. Guess I'm going to have to rent all the seasons from the library now.
Also on our outing, I talked S&SG into hitting up Target, and I made out like a bandit. The Cheap Chick would be so proud. All the swag I scored was within the $20 rule. Some highlights include:
*A silver Xhiliration Tee on clearance for $9.08 that will double for both teacher-y things and kicking it with my girliefriends and their beaus.
*Merona Capris on sale for $15 that will once again pull double duty for both work and play.
*A neon yellow C9 sports bra on clearance for 11.88. Wont that look stylin'!

Wild Weekend @ the Bullseye
Sunday started with a cat stuck in our front drain field pipes.
That's right folks. A cat.
No worries though, a guy got him out and he was perfectly fine.
Then half an our later, we went under that tornado warning. Sirens were blaring and guests were complaining because they couldn't leave.
Hello! There's a tornado out there. Obviously the smart thing to do is to leave this giant cinder block shelter and rough it in a tiny plastic car out on the roads were there's zero visibility and a bazillion other yahoos who are waiting to broadside me. Good grief, Charlie Brown.
Then came the hail.
Needless to say, Teddy is now sporting a few more dings. Like he wasn't ghetto enough.

I'm BACK!!!
I know. You've all missed me so much. But not nearly as much as I've missed ya'll. There's nothing like your very own public that is calling for your come back. Hopefully mine will go over a bit better than Britany or Lindsey's.
I'd say a bit like Garth's but the fact that he can't fully commit to career or retirement just annoys the crap out of me. And what was the deal with the Hewy Lewis duet?
Anyhow, I've got multiple ventures in the works, with the most promenent being me trying to find a big girl job. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Things I Miss About College
Having goofy work hours like from 6-9am then 4-5pm.
The amenities in my apartment: dishwasher, stove, $1 laundry machines next door, a roomate that bakes me cookies, cable, free newspapers, high-speed internet
Not having to pick up after myself unless people are over, coming over, or have just left
Having friends next door, across the street, and down the block
Thirsty Thursdays
Not feeling like a freak if I choose to stay up until 4 am or go to bed at 11
Walking to the library
Ah, it's just nostalgia kicking in since I've got dial-up going...it'll stop I'm sure. Maybe, ya know. Once I get a damned job or atleast hear back from one of the trillion places I've applied. School keeps looking better and better even if all I'd be doing is shoving my head in the sand.

Life
I've been gone from the blogsphere for a couple of days. Here's the skinny. Have my job at OHKF that I thought I didn't, Grams fell and hurt herself and now we might be having a day nurse come join the two of us in our comfy crowded home, student teaching is almost over, school is almost over, I've decided I own too much crap, I have not found a cute dress for this summer's wedding bonanza, I still haven't gotten around to updating my resume, and, oh yeah, I'm out of my apartment in a week and so far I've "packed" my magazines by tossing them into a paper bag. Adult life sucks, I want to go back to kindergarten.

Spring!
It's a time for hair cuts, Easter candy, flip-flops, and sweatshirts.
This damn 20 degrees sucks.

Money
I think I hate it.
I mean, it's the root of all evil right? The basis of the Green Eyed monster. Greed. Yada. Yada. Yada.
Well, in reality my problem is that life is expensive and I'm just cheap and broke.
Oh, well. I have my splurge for this week (Tim McGraw's new album Let it Go) to keep me company.

One Of Those Days
I think I really dig Sarah Buxton's new song One of Those Days. I didn't think I was having one, but the more things I try and accomplish, the more it's looking like it...

Bribery
One of my bestest friends in the entire world decided to visit her family. Now normally I would be all, Woo-Hoo! for her, but she decided to do it not only over my Graduation from college ceremony, but also over my Graduation par-tay in NoDak.
She tried to make it better by buying me cake.
It might have worked.
Maybe I should have let her spring for the bread and milk...
