I know. Nobody wants to hear about my wide and varied musical tastes. But you so have to give a listen to Deana Carter's newest album Story Of My Life due out in March on the Vanguard Label.
Deana's famous for her break out single Strawberry Wine and her Did I Shave My Legs for This album.
This album however, makes me think of those female singer/songwriters, although I'm sure Deana has the sense not to sleep with that jackass James Taylor. (Come on. He was never that great.)
My favorite track is One Day at A Time, which includes lyrics about Elvis and Kurt Cobain, Jesus and John Wayne. I also love the track titled Katie. The whole album just shows how wonderfully free-spirited Deana is.
