New Music

Kasey Chambers ("Not Pretty Enough", "Like a River", "Pony")has a new album out (It acually came out last week, but I've been so super busy I hadn't had a chance to give it a listen. Yea! Sub jobs!).

Rattlin' Bones is a collaboration with her partner Shane Nicholson. And the tracks I've heard so far are just fab! Be sure to give it a listen.

Damned TV

I miss my Bones. Apparently, I get super crappy reception of Fox and so even though my poor VCR got a workout, I couldn't actually view it. I guess I'm just lucky that the writer's strike was absolved in such a way that they're still posting full episodes on the 'net. Hopefully one of those converter box deals will solve this piddly problem.

Not that you care.

Bones Quote of the Week

Alright. I'll admit it's from last week, I haven't seen the episode, and I totally cribbed it from the recap on the website. BUT, it was the best line out of the previews!

"Bones, two guys at the same time, it's not right. I mean, that's why they invented dueling." -Booth

This Thing Called TV

I know this sounds stupid, but I miss my Tv. I used to watch it too much...but now I seem to spend no time at all in front of it, unless I'm over at S&SG's. Or unless Rachael is on. What can I say, I heart Rachael Ray.

Since television is making it's annual fall come back, I find that the only thing on that I still watch is Bones. And I've missed all of the new Bones episodes because it has moved once again from Tuesday nights back to Wednesdays. I think I have finally corralled it, and hopefully, my poor VCR will record it for me tonight.

Sunday night I had a chance to watch the boob tube and coincidentally caught the Sunday recaps of the CW Network's fall line up. While the CW does cater mostly to the high school set, it is the home to my beloved, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, and Reba.

The new lineup includes an old fave, 90210 (I still haven't caught any episodes) and a show called Privileged, which stars JoAnna Garcia from Reba as a Yale grad back in her old stomping ground tutoring a pair of snobby sisters. While not as hyped as every one's favorite zip code, I think this show has the most potential of entering my "must see" list.

Stay tuned.
(LOL. I crack myself up.)

Working for a Living

I've been so incommunicado lately because I've been doing the working thing. Lots of hours have been put into the part-time job as we prepare for opening the new store (just three more weeks to go! I've been inside and let me just say...FABULOUS!) Also, I've picked up a couple of substituing days. I've decided that I don't hated 9th graders. I just do no enjoy the 2011 class at one of my school districts. They are mostly giant boogers that need to be wiped out. Or at least get a big tough love lesson in R-E-S-P-E-C-T from Miss Aretha herself.

Vote for YLGMS

I know it's everybody's favorite Keith song (Yes I'm talking to you Cuz and Eh). So get busy and vote it to the top of the video charts!

Keith Updates

There will be tons of chances to see Keith play this next week, especially on public broadcast television (yea me!).

Thursday, Sept. 4 - NFL Kickoff on NFL network live. Keith performs at approx. 4:30pm EST.

Friday, Sept. 5 - NFL Kick off on NBC prime time

Monday, Sept. 8 - CMA Festival on ABC prime time (This is being pre-empted to bring me the Vikes and Packers game. Yeah Vikes! Boo TV Programmers!)

Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Fashion Rocks on CBS prime time

Also, Keith collaborated with Brad Paisley on his new project Play on a song called "Start A Band." It'll be awesome to hear what happens when two fabulous guitar players jam together.
