A Very Piratey Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of my Piratey friends. I got much booty things year and while not shiny, will convince a lot of people that instead of pining over Keith Urban, I'm obsessed with one Captian Jack Sparrow.

Not only did I get Pirates 2, but pirate buttons, pirate lip balm, Jack pillow cases, pirate socks, and one very giant Jack blanket. Trust me, I can sail the seven seas in my sleep in style! I however, did not get the piratey music. *Tear* I suppose there's always my birthday.

(Oh, and for those of you who have heard my tire tale, I also got a portable battery booster/air compressor!)

No New GG tonight

I guess I'll just have to do homework and stuff instead. Tear.

Crazy Snowboard Metal Head

In the name of cultural exchange (snort) and friendship, Erin went to see Dierks Bentley with me. This weekend I returned the favor and saw Otep. After a fun, exhilarating, and slightly tragic scenic route to the venue, me and Erin made it to Minneapolis in time to catch part of the Holidazzle parade and the opening acts.

The show was fun and intense. And even though I looked like a snowboarder in my barbie t-shirt I was still totally cool. Or at least cooler than the Dad behind us who accompanied his fourteen year old and was probably an Eric Clapton fan. Plus another guy was wearing an orange shirt.

I even got to make history for Nick since I was the first girl whose number he'd ever gotten before he knew her name. But he was nice and talked about his mom. And I didn't have to knock Erin into him either for an introduction. (But damn it. It would have worked!)

Otep was awesome and intense and a lot more than I really bargained for. I had a great night and I love Erin's parents who do things like cook me soup and argue football with me. I am so blessed in my friends.

Lisa's Editing and Proofreading Service

This morning I proofed my sister's John Donne paper (These emotions can eat at someone’s heart. I LOVE that line!) and I promised Amanda that I would edit her family structure paper this afternoon before I go to work. In the past couple of weeks I've written three papers of my own, read Anna's position paper, checked over her resume and Toshia's powerpoint, and proofed Becky's history paper.

Don't get me wrong girls, I love reading your work. I really don't mind doing it and I enjoy it, but I could totally open up shop and make some gas money doing this. However, if I do hang my shingle, I promise I'll offer a generous discount to my editing fan club.

I Got My Gilmore Guys Fight!

And it was very satisfying!

There's a GG Smackdown Coming On!

Tonight's Episode: Merry Fisticuffs

Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) share a sweet moment when Luke introduces her to Liz's new baby. Christopher (David Sutcliffe) witnesses the scene and it adds to his concern that Lorelai isn't fully committed to their marriage. The next day, Lorelai and Christopher get into a fight over whether they should exchange vows at the elaborate wedding party Emily (Kelly Bishop) is throwing for them.

Luke contacts a lawyer over his custody troubles with Ana, then runs into Christopher and the two have an ugly confrontation in the streets of Stars Hollow.

Meanwhile, when Logan (Matt Czuchry) discovers that Rory and Marty (Wayne Wilcox) have been pretending that they just met, rather than admitting their previous friendship to Lucy (Krysten Ritter), he reveals the truth to Lucy.

Finally, Emily gives Lorelai a warning about her marriage.

Sean Gunn also stars. Jackson Douglas directed the episode written by David Rosenthal.

So Much

I've been meaning to blog abit about things that have been going on, but I've been either too busy (as my room can attest) or too tired (which explains my excessive coffee binge). Hopefully this weekend everything will get caught up.

Aw...

The PBR is going to retire Mossy Oak Mudslinger. I love watching him. It's sort of sexy like watching race horses.

Okay.

Maybe not.

Well It Doesn't Top Keith...

But I had a bit of a strange dream last night (or this morning rather). So all you who do this stuff, Analyze this:

I'm apparently training to be a cashier at Cub and the girl that's training me isn't very nice. So Casie shows up and starts explaining it to me instead. Then, a supervisor comes over, and it's Emily, one of my AP kids. Then the shift changes an some other woman comes over to help. Meanwhile, my customer's are continually trying to purchase their groceries with gift certificates for a pizza restaurant.
