What ARR Ya Thinking?

I liked Pirates At Worlds End. I'm not sure that I loved it, but I enjoyed it alot. (Yes, I once again sang the theme music as I floated out of the movie theater) There are a couple of loose threads that need some straightening out, but that I can only do if I watch it again. Somebody has a freebie gift idea...

Whine, Whine, Whine

It is official. I absolutely dispise the paperwork that comes with job hunting...and I hate not having a faster computer. This kitchen stuff is NOT all it's cracked up to be.

Amy's Back!

I have expressed in no uncertain terms my disgust with the CW for dismissing my beloved Veronica Mars, but there is hope for the new season because the original Gilmore Girl, Amy Sherman-Palladino and her wicked husband/partner-in-crime have a new show debuting on Fox called the Return of Jezebelle James. Me thinks I must tune in...

The Return of Jezebel James Fox has never had a successful female-oriented sitcom. If this show about two sisters — one of whom agrees to carry the other's baby — can make it to January, when it will precede the American Idol results show, it has a chance, especially with Amy Sherman-Palladino producing and directing.

A Gilmore Shocker! Keep Your Fingers Crossed and Start Praying...

Ausiello's column

Question: So, what gives? There is no way you could still be at Fox's
upfront party. Did you track down AS-P, and, if so, what were the final
four words she had in mind for Gilmore Girls?— Katrina

Ausiello: OK, here's the deal: Yes, I tracked her down, but, no, she did
not cough up those elusive four words. But wait — there's more. And it's
good. No, amazing. No, un-frakkin'- believable. Amazing, even. Wait, did I
say that already? Well, it's true. Because just as I was about to brand her
a big ol' promise-breaker right there in front of all those industry types,
Amy explained why she couldn't divulge her long-ago-planned Gilmore ending.
(Gilmore fanatics: This is the time in Sprockets when you either lean on a
heavy object or just sit down.) In the next year or two, she hopes to make
— wait for it — a two-hour Gilmore Girls TV-movie that ties up all those
loose threads! I nearly fell over when she said it — especially given what
she told me back in December. (BTW, lest you think Amy was pulling my leg,
her partner in life and in showbiz, Dan Palladino, confirmed that a GG
reunion pic is something they're interested in pursuing.) And I wasn't the
only one floored by this development. "She said what?" gasped Scott
Patterson after I relayed the information to him over the phone. "I didn't
think she would be interested in doing something like that. But if she says
she is, I would seriously consider it." Alexis Bledel was equally stunned.
"A Gilmore Girls reunion?" she said with a laugh. "That's certainly not
something I had thought of doing. That's really funny, I have no idea how I
would feel in a few years. I don't know, I'm sure the script Amy would
write would be great, but I guess I'd have to read it and see how I felt at
the time." Last but not least, Lauren Graham e-mailed me late last night to
say, "Could be a fun idea if everyone wanted to do it. I would do it just
to get the four final words out of Amy. They torture me." Stand by for a
comment from Warner Bros. big cheese Peter Roth. In the meantime, head over
to the Ask Ausiello Discussion Thread and start brainstorming campaign
slogans!

On Location In The Peace Garden (Read Windy) State

North Dakota has been good. I don't know if it's the sleep I've been getting or the quality time I've had with my animals, but I'm feeling good, if frustrated with my job searching. Mostly that's my fault, but hey, gotta blame someone right?

As of right now I'll be back in MN either on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm leaning towards Tuesday because I have library items I need to pick up and drop off, but if I could have my way I might stretch this out a bit. I still haven't done much vacation planning while I've been here. Maybe I should start soon. LOL.

Ciao!

All Of The Good Times That Will Now No Longer Be...

I just recently got hooked on Veronica Mars. The drama, the mystery, the witty repartee between dad and daughter, the hot sexiness that is Logan Echolls...Only to learn that as of this week, Veronica will be no more.

The power that be at the CW have not only screwed with my beloved Gilmore Girls so that it's creators left and we had a sub-par season before the finale, but now they are axing my new love before I can truly see where this will lead. What is a girl to do?

If I find out that Las Vegas and Bones are going to be cancelled I'm going to be having some serious problems

Farewell my Gilmore Girls

The series finale has aired. Although, it doesn't seem like it's really over. Mainly because I haven't seen the final episode yet.

I also do not have season 6 yet. (Hint, hint for any of you still searching for the perfect graduation present)

At least my girls and Luke can reign on in infamy on ABC Fam, who BTW is cycling through season 1 as we speak (or read).

The Job Huntress

The job application process has got to be one of the most annoying, nerve-wracking, and stress inducing situations ever. I hate it. Give me lesson planning over trying to sell myself and my inexperience to someone any day.

If you think looking for a summer job sucks, try looking for your first real job as an "Adult."

Life

I've been gone from the blogsphere for a couple of days. Here's the skinny. Have my job at OHKF that I thought I didn't, Grams fell and hurt herself and now we might be having a day nurse come join the two of us in our comfy crowded home, student teaching is almost over, school is almost over, I've decided I own too much crap, I have not found a cute dress for this summer's wedding bonanza, I still haven't gotten around to updating my resume, and, oh yeah, I'm out of my apartment in a week and so far I've "packed" my magazines by tossing them into a paper bag. Adult life sucks, I want to go back to kindergarten.
