I know a fair amount about the New Deal and FDR's run as out illustrious head of state. I, however, like most Americans, have only a vague idea about what all those Alphabet soup programs actually accomplished besides giving people jobs.
Here at SCSU, our old football field was surrounded by a New Deal project, and The Star Trib just ran an article on another, Post Office Murals.
This site isn't the actual article, but they do have some examples of New Deal Post Office Art. So now, (everybody saw this coming right?) I have this horrible hankering for a Road Trip to visit, you've guessed it, Post Offices.
