Dark and Delicious

So I read After Midnight by Teresa Medeiros. Teresa (one of the lovely ladies over at Squawk Radio) has beautifully mixed the biggest selling historical time period with the latest trend, paranormal romance.

I'll tell you now, I thourally enjoyed this read. Caroline is the oldest of the Cabot sisters, and of course as all great big sisters do, has sacrificed most of her life to provide for her lil' sisters. One of whom is in the midst of a romance with a aristocrat rumored to be a vampire. When dramatic baby sis insists on running interference, Caroline flings herself into the challenge and belatedly realizes that the damned blood sucker is a stealer of hearts. Hers to be specific.

Adrian is a nummy, mysterious, brooder. And his little brother is dreamy. Perhaps Stuart Townsend in the flesh. The Cabot sisters are enjoyable and sweet. Caroline rocks as a big sis and Portia has already stolen my heart. I can't wait for Summer '06 to see what kind of trouble Portia and Julian "Stuart Townsend" Kane will wrangle themselves into.
