The Job Huntress

The job application process has got to be one of the most annoying, nerve-wracking, and stress inducing situations ever. I hate it. Give me lesson planning over trying to sell myself and my inexperience to someone any day.

If you think looking for a summer job sucks, try looking for your first real job as an "Adult."

I agree hunting for your first job can be really stressful, but some planning can go a long way. Here are a few tips. Don't always have a full-time job job in mind. Also, don't have a proper job in mind. Be prepared to do any kind of odd job like a waitress at a restaurant or a front office assistant at a hotel or an office. It's here that you are able to come in touch with prospective employers who could put you on to the right company/person. Most companies hire based on experience or your influence. If you can get one person to recommend you to a field of your liking, the job is done. Until this happens, make sure you are happy at whatever you do. Never be a cribber.
